WAYNETOWN — Claudia Tilly
Gordon, 70, Waynetown, died at 9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2000 at her residence.
She was born March 6, 1929 in Flatonia, Texas, the daughter of Claude and
Lillie Treadaway Cockrill. She married Delbert Dow in 1946, who preceded her in
death. She married Marshall Gordon in 1976, who also preceded in death.
Survivors include: six daughters, Ruby Leas, Veedersburg, Jeanne Denney, Gibson
City, Ill., Joan Borders, Thomasboro, Ill., Kay McMahon, Champaign, Ill.,
Rhonda Hensley and Debra Olson, both of Rantoul, Ill.; five sons, Wayne Dow,
Crawfordsville, Ken Dow, Champaign, Ill., Frank Dow and Michael Dow, both of
Rantoul, Ill., Don Dow, Thomasboro, Ill.; 26 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Sunday in Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg,
with the Rev. Ed Maurer officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro.
